Hi Jenn,

You mentioned the GTA Surf School...I tried to Google them, but I couldn't find anything.  Also, their web site I got out of a magazine (durbanad.com/surfschool) didn't work.  I have never surfed before but am dying to learn.  Any suggestions on how to get a hold of them?  Thanks for your help!  :)

Hey Jeanna!

The site still works for me, but you're right, it no longer pops up on Google for some reason. Rob D is the one who runs it but I don't know how to contact him directly. I'd give another try to the site. Maybe it was just some temporary downtime? If not, he may be around the ESA great lakes forum or the Third Coast one. I'm not sure. Those seem to be other places lakesurfers hang out. Good luck! :)

surf was up yesterday! I missed it...hey I'm rob, just found this forum. I've been surfing just over 2 years now mostly on the outer banks, florida, and one trip to Costa Rica (awesome) Anyway I went to the beaches for some Vball yesterday and there was rideable waves for sure...It wasn't even windy and the water temp was good.  Anyone know of any other surf or weather sites for some predictions in the GTA

If anyone's hitting the lake let me know

I recommend if you're looking for a used board make the journey out of Ontario, hit the outer banks or even Virginia Beach you'll be glad you did. I bought my board from "Natural Art"  in Buxton obx for $100 bucks. It's a bit of a pig but a great learner board.
