RE: LOCAL INDIAN SURFER

I was wondering the name of that beachhouse that your mastes run in Kerala?. I will be in India mid Jan 2006 and am looking for a place to stay. I checked the web, the waters warm but there doesnt seem to be any surf at the moment.

RE: LOCAL INDIAN SURFER

Yo Simon,

there's always surf if u search & i dont mean weather/swell reports on the internet, & the water it's warm all year long here in India. The place my friends own in Pondy near Auroville Beach is "the Only Place" (that's the name of the guesthouse) ask for Shankar he is a local wave rippa he runs the place.

Cheers & catch some waves,

Roy

RE: LOCAL INDIAN SURFER

I am from Bombay, but mostly live and surf near New York now. I ride a mini longboard and the type of waves it works with, nothing too crazy. I was wondering if I should bother bringing my board with me on a trip to India, or if Pondicherry or surf in India is way beyond my ability.

Thanks!
Mira

RE: LOCAL INDIAN SURFER

Hi Mira,

Ur welcome to come surf our Break with us in Pondicherry, & the waves are mostly mellow & easily makeable & i dont think the waves r beyond anyones ability to surf. i surf them even though i am desabled, so not to worry, & ya bring a mini mal with you, they work best in these waves.

Aloha,

Roy
