Hey Mauritian Surfers.Im heading over to your island on july 25 2007 for two weeks.Im looking for any locals interested in surfing with an australian.Im happy to pay for pickups and fuel if you can take me to some good breaks (mostly lefts),and hit the waves with me,so i can learn from you how best not to upset or impose on the locals.I hear Tamarin is good but locallized.Im of an average to intermediate level and not afraid to push myself.

Just came accross your mail and thought it would be nice to know more.
I'm french, working for the airlines and will be arriving tomorrow 20th may 07, for one week layover in MRU, hotel is Labourdonnais Waterfront in Port louis.
I'm planning on renting a car and then off for 4 days of kite in the morning with kitesurf paradise, school with maude et julien.
then free in the afternoons for 8 days, I'd like to find some boards to rent and hit the SW coast to chase some swell...
Any info would be welcome, and perhaps can we meet with a group to go paddling together.
in case, for SMS my cell +33 618 415 939
Txs in advance, later.

I would love your help!!
I'm coming to Mauritius for 9 days at the end of Sept / beginning of Oct - is the surf still going to be good then?
I am intermediate level- bit scared of the huge waves!
Also, are there cheap places to stay?
I am coming with my boyfreind and we'd like to stay in 'pensionnes' I think- peoples houses- anywhere just to make it cheap. Is that possible?
Can we camp anywhere? on the beach?
I am so excited to come !!
I am so excited to know anything!!

I'm Arvind and i'm actually working on a school project where i need to produce a prototype of a surf guide on mauritius. It is really an important one since it's for the S.C exams. Just wanted to have your ideas for some pictures of surfing in Mtius as well as major surfing spots around Mtius. Please try to send some pics to my E-mail address to help me.
