The best place for surf, a half an hour near from Mazatlan is El Patole and Celestino. You can also find some surfers gangsters in el camaron and el Jacarandas.

So you are living in Mazatlan? I'm coming to Mazatlan in 3 Weeks for 6 weeks. I'm from Switzerland and really would like to learn how to surf. However, I don't have a surf board yet... so could you tell me how much a secondhand-surfboard would approximately cost and where will be the best place to buy it?
Thank you very much for your help, we may see us in the line-up... dc

for the person from Switzerland there is a surf shop next to the D.Q. in the golden zone that gives lesson and will rent or sell new and used stuff - that is where some of my local friends go. Good Luck!
