RE: Surf - mazatlan - places to stay and camp

Me and my buddy just got back from mazatlan. we did cardon camp last year, but we got a lot of bugs and not really much to do after surfing. Stayed this time with the east pacific guys. we got a lot of waves. Alan is hysterical to have as a driver. knows everythng about UFOs and other assorted random stuff about mexico. super cool hanging out in mazatlan but don't open a tab at joe's oyster bar. just buy a bucket of pacifico's at a time and pay for it.

RE: Surf camp violence

Keep in mind if you are planning on going north of Mazatlan you may be faced with the possibility of verbal and physical violence if you are not staying  at the surf camps.Certain people who are associated with surf camps up there have taken it upon themselves to feel they need to "POLICE" the water. One camp in particular "EL CARDON" has a guy named Jeff that has decided to hassle those who are not their clients.
Have fun and keep your eyes open
