It sounds like the howly needs some boot kick from the locals. Just don't understand it sometimes.  I feel like going there right now and give him some brown spankin'

sunset resort  have been operating for more than two decades now and is highly patronized by foreigners and locals, a proof of the resort's friendly service.  grace's story is only one side of the coin.  i frequent the place but i find it recommendable. good food, peaceful place and the staff treats you with utmost hospitality.

Hi! Grace.

We stayed in Sunset this Oct. 20 - 23 and we found the place so cool. We talked a little with Jan the German owner and we found him nice.

My other two companions are also happy with the stay.

Also his wife is ok and all the staff.

We are planning to go back this Jan 2006.

Stay at any of the other resorts in La Union at your peril. Sunset is by far the best budget place I have stayed in the Philippines - full stop. Jan is German, and does business very differently to filipino operators.  Disrepect his property or equipment and you will he'll tell you to f*** off - regardless of who you are or who you may think you are - which is fair enough.  He serves and treats locals and visitors alike.

So if you seek a clean, well maintained place to stay which serves good quality food (prepared in a hygenic kitchen) cheerfully and efficiently served then there is no better place to stay.  If not, you can stay in any one of number of sh*t pits in Urzbitondo.

Hi all do you know the owners or managers of China Sea Beach REsort and San Juan Surf Resort? I heard a lot of good things about these 2 beach resort in comparison to food, facility and hospitable accomodations. I've learned that China Sea beach Resort is for sale. How much is it listed for and how much is the current market value?
