I'm from austria and learned surfing this summer in new zealand...can't live without it anymore,so planning to move to scotland for...quite a while ;o)
At the mo I'm busy trying to find a job somewhere in the East - Dundee, Montrose, Aberdeen..
And of course searching for a place to stay - so my question is:
RE: Dundee Surfers« Reply #5 on: November 02 2007 05:11:00 »
........does anyone of you know somebody searching for a flatmate or something like that? that'd be sooo wicked cool! at least for some time
I consider myself a rather easy person, and I'm gettin' along well with most people, ...by the way,I met some scotties in NZ and they were just SWEET AS!
I'd like to go to Scotland in January, February... I'd really be grateful for every hint, suggestion and of course contact with you guys :o)
thanks a LOT in advance and maybe see ya

hiya. have u thought about edinburgh or glasgow? there is more flats/bedsits/and rooms 2 let in these areas.also alot more jobs. there is some ok spots an hours drive from here also dundee and aberdeens only a couple of hours drive
RE: Dundee Surfers« Reply #7 on: November 04 2007 02:11:00 »
well I thought about Aberdeen,Montrose... so far - 'cause I thought for example Lunan Bay would be a nice spot, and it's about 15miles from dundee and close to montrose, isn't it?
what's near glasgow and edinburgh? is it andrew's bay...?
it's always so hard, I mean, there are so many people valueing spots, and you just don't know whether you can believe that.. :)
RE: Dundee Surfers« Reply #8 on: November 04 2007 02:11:00 »
what would you suggest?
... you're probably right, it would be easier to find a job and flat in a bigger city.
oh, and thank you for your reply!! :o)

down the east coast from edin glasgow theres pease bay coldingham tl dunbar n many more spots that r good when theres swell all within an hour and a halfs drive.
up the east coast theres kings barns(dont like this place but surfable waves) st andrews (1 surfable wave n 1 hardcore wave)and many more spots all up the coast line all these places r about an hour n a halfs drive from glasgow/edinburgh
the norths well better always will be but its all about 4 hours drive depending how u drive lol
