Hola Carlos, estoy interesada en aprender surf, he dado sólo un par de clases en otra isla, ahora estoy en Tenerife, sabes de algún sitio donde den clases que no sea la escuela K-16? Fui a preguntar allí y no me gustó
Gracias

Alright Chris, just got back from Tenerife 2 weeks ago.

Went over for a stag hol and got some surfin lessons while we were there. We were all beginners. Because there were 9 of us the guy done a deal of 25 euros per man, we arrived at 11 o'clock and finally got out of the water at about 2:30 ish. The guys stayed out with surfin, and I think they only came back in cause we were all knackered (being our first time surfin), we all had a great time (although definately ask for the boots - the reef has no mercy - LoL).

The place where we went for lessons was a small surf shop, if u get on the beach front at Playa De Las Americas and find the "Burger King" it's just round the corner on the right.

Would recommend this to anyone!!!

With reference to Iberia, their regulations on board carriage are the biggest load of b*****it i have ever heard. Went to Brazil for two weeks but had to call a freind to come grab my boards, cos they wanted, wait for it, 800 euros one way for a single board 6´6 weighing about 4 kilos. Serious, swear on my life, and they couldn´t tell me how much the return would be, except it would be less, GREAT!!  They say the charge is 40 euros per surfboard-kilo, but the minimum is 20 kilos!! good luck if you´re a windsurfer, its a 30 kilo minimum!!!

the k16 people seem to write thier own reviews here...
They are not really enthusiastic about teaching or whatever, they teach on shit equipment and the "instructor" is out to get waves himself...
Las Americas not really the best spot for beginners btw...
