bonjours chuis un ptit de beauharnois qui est tres interresser par le surf de riviere et j ai vu que vous parliez d un spot a beauharnois j aimerais bien savoir ou si possible cela pourrait p-t me convincre d acheter une planche l été prochain .

Allo!

la vague se trouve en amont du barrage de Beauharnois à l'une des décharges. Malheureusement, ça ne vaut vraiment pas la peine que tu t'achètes une planche pour cette vague parce que l'accès est illégal et hautement surveillé et que la vague est rarement là (environ 10x/an) et elle n'est pas trop friendly (roches, gros courant, danger d'ouverture d'une gate quand tu es dans l'eau, etc).  Bref, vraiment pas un bon endroit pour un débutant. En plus, il faut grimper sur le barrage, s'intaller des cordes, il y a plein de roches dans peu profond d'eau, etc. Décidemment, H67 est l'endroit pour commencer.

well it seems that the spring thaw is here! has anyone been down to check out habitat lately? I'd like to know how it's running, or is there still way too much ice in the water?
also, been looking round for fish ideas, wanna get into shaping any suggestions from anyone on where to get blanks cheap would be nice. thinking eps styles.

Well yeah man I was there yesterday and even though there is no snow around, there is still a couple of small chunks of ice coming down the river. The water on the other hand is still pretty cold, good for a 4 mm wet suit and the wave is all white with no green sections whatsoever. This is normal for this time of the year because there is too much water coming down the river due to the ice melting. So be patient and soon the season will start again.
Ah and the parking doesn't open until may 14!!!
