Heya guys and girls..
iv been surfing the south of madagascar now for 11 months.. had some of my best waves here so far..
i personaly think the best season 2 come surf here is during feb-march.. during cyclone season.
Fort-Dauphine has some good waves.. local beach called Ankuba is beautifull and generally have good back brakes... south of Ankuba on the otherside of new Port has fantastic waves.. offshore nearly every day when the NE blows..and up to 6ft waves running...
madagascar is known 4 sharks but fortunately fortdauphine has no sign of dangerous sharks..
so email me for details and places.. local surfers are very helpfull with directions...
chillax and keep it real..

Hi everyone, great info on this forum. Anyone know the cheapest way to fly to Madagascar and best place to surf for two beginner-intermediate females? Looking to head down Dec 24 08 - Jan 5, 09, so we are looking for cheap flights, accomodation and possible surf advice. We will bring our gear. Thanks! Kathleen

Hi i am looking at heading to Madagascar in May/June 2010 starting in Fort- Dauphin and making my way up to the north by kite. I am looking for adventurous people who would be willing to split the cost of a 4x4 vehicle. Is anyone visiting Madagascar or there already that might be interested?
