I'm an American  teacher in Wuhan and I've got a Chinese friend in Zhuhai.  I plan to get down that way by train and make my way to Haianan by ferry boat to try surfing there.  I'm a little spoiled by Waikiki, but it's a lot closer for me.  LOL.  Maybe we can try it out together on safari.  Endless Summer. Aloha.  Joey

G'day everyone, I'm a local Chinese who spent last 5 yrs in Aus, I've been surfing for 2yrs and now relocated in Beijing. I have my surfboard with me and am planning to go to Hainan this Oct, anyone in Beijing interested? Hopefully we can go together.

Surfing, things that make you go! Sean

Where's the best place to stay in Hainan close to the break. Looks like the east coast is the go? Is the best break around the big bay near Xinglong? Any advice you can give is appreciated. I'm travelling to China for work every coupla months from Sydney by myself and hanging for a wave.

If you are interested in surfboards Monran Surf Company has a showroom in Haikou, with a few shortboards, funboards, and longboards. I could even send you pics of some of the boards in stock!

For more info drop me a line!
