Hey Dar Surfers! I know this is a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway.
I've traveled from London down the west coast of Africa, across South Africa up to Mozambique with my surfboard strapped to my motorbike. Fantastic surf all along (all misadventures chronicled here: www.bugsonmyboard.org). I found a kid in Mozambique who really needed a board to ride and I was turning inland for a stage on the way back towards Europe, so I gave him my hard working surfboard. Anyhow, I'm now in Zambia and headed for Dar and already desperate for a surf. If anyone has any sort of craft that I might borrow for a surf or two I'd be unbelievably stoked. Or even a contact that I might try in Dar to find a board?

Looking for a surfboard in Dar. Here for 2 months and am missing out!
Please let me know if you can sell me an old board, or even lend me one for a morning. Would be amazing.
I am willing to pay a fair price.
Preference (Just over 6' and with a bit of volume)

I like this place Dar es Salaam, It’s most important city & commercial port on Tanzania &. It’s part of the National Museum. Unluckily I have not seen anyone surfing in Dar es Salaam.

I know this topic was started years ago and is still going at it... well, i would say if earlier we didn't really find how much surfing was in Tanzania - it wasn't really that big.. but they have good swells there.
People may not be surfing in Dar Es Salaam exactly, but there are other surf spots within or around the area...
check out this website to know more. :)

Would also love to know where people are getting surf gear in Dar es Salaam. I can travel with my rash guard, just not with a board. If anyone rents or knows a shop that sells/orders in, please share!
