Ya I would defently like to see some pics, and I would love to give your artical a read to. I was there last year in feb, march, and april and there was very little surf. I did surf a few times on Koh Phanag when it got stormy but mostly a bunch of close out sets was all there was. But I am thinking about going back there soon, I was going to go to centrial america but I really love thailand, and wold also like to go to bali. So it encurageing to here that there is desent surf on sumui.

I also live in hawaii.. although the surf season is starting here.. I still prefer Chaweng Beach. Glad to hear I will be there for peak surf season!

I am going to koh samui at the end of November and I called this surf shop in phuket who said that theres no surf there right now. the swell is late, so if anyone is there can they check to see if there will be any surf? Or knows anything different?

hey fellas, i got a question.....how many REAL surfers are there in this forum? i dont wanna knosk anybody down, but do you guys actually see what you're discussing? "surfing in thailand" when my friend showed me this i thought she was kidding, i been surfing for 14 years, i lived 10 years in hawaii 3 years in bali and i travel ALL the time, i been in thailand 3 years and traveled all over there and during all seasons....what waves are you guys talking about??!! those 3-4 footers in phuket?koh chang? samui? those are not waves! please stop it i beg u, listen i know u guys love the water and thats cool, so please search for "real waves" so u can really ride, you dont go to thailand for surfing, i been told how good it gets in phuket..BS

The beaches of Patong, Kata Yai and Karon can have rare reasonable waves but the real gem is the magestic
bay of Nai Harn nestled on the southern tip. The swell wraps around a small island and peels off for 100m
into a bay. The water is so clear it resembles surfing in a pool. Truly a remarkable experience if you are
lucky enough to score this mysto spot.

sorry to inform you that there is no surf in Koh Samui. Its blocked from swell in the middle of the gulf of Thailand !!
Sometimes there is a sloppy windy wave from strong winds.
But only rare. Better off surfing Phuket, although inconsistent it still gets some good surf at times. Try the southern points.
