Hey all I'm from New Zealand.  Am passing through from Oahu and will be here in Toronto for a couple of months b4 heading on to Europe.  I was blown away when some dude told me you could actually surf on the lakes.  Can anyone tell me a good web site to check the surf report? Also will give lessons to anyone who can take us to a good spot.  Cheers

Was up at the Lake when the T storms came through yesterday. I was at Sodus on the pier and stayed out there. The waves were whipped up something fierce.  Damned that was an awesome storm.

OK OK - I have heard and read you can surf on the lake... I have my boards and all in toronto and would love to hit some waves in between looking at them and wishing I lived near a beach (that was not on a lake)...! Right so question... how do I know when I might catch a wave... (magicseaweed has no report for the lake LOL)... second.. everybody in Toronto tells me the lake is unsafe to enter, now I have been here for a few months and looked at the lake.... .it looks clean... have any of you guys died yet??? second heads... third hands anything...!!! help and knowledge would be good and hopefully see you on the lake... (i am easy to spot.. the one missing all the waves and falling alot... need practice)...
