Did you guys ever watch the Karate Kid. When they were playing soccer, The Surf was pretty damned nice that day. I Like Soccer, But I would have been surfn those waves instead of kicking a leather ball around. I'm sure that my surfing would have impressed Ali alot more the bouncing a ball on my knee. Secondly, If Johnny showed up with his gang. I would have shot him before his Karate moves. " Strike first, Strike hard !!!" Nothing strikes first and hard like a bullet.

Global Surfers- tOM (alibaba) thinks he's a crip; I don't know if he would know a cap from a 'gun'. A gun is used for big heaving lips (Mav's, Waimea, Warren Pt.) and getting done the face early; it's meant for you to evolve, not usher subtle threats. Thanx for deleting Tums and hope for more positive format.

Yeah !!! Thanks Global for getting rid of Tom. Nut cases like him should be locked up in the funny farm. I went out today. Mushy 1 ft , but ridable with a long board. Like Miagi or I'm sure it was Tom who said it. Visability sucked because of the snow.

I am Australian and married a girl from TO. We live in OZ and travel back to TO sometimes for holidays. I am blown away that you guys surf in Lake Ontario. This gives me hope that when I come over there next summer, maybe I could catch some waves. When is the best time to catch some of those wind swells?

In fact, if anybody from the Toronto area is travelling to OZ and wants to go surfing on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, give us a yell? I live in Dee Why and love to share the stoke with people from my girls hometown.

I just came across this site as I was looking at surfing as well! I learned in Byron Bay last year and if you are heading out next summer, let me know. I am a beginner, but it would be great to get some people out on Lake Ontario.

Oh, no! Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water (forum)? New aka's for tom: Collie dog, booty, somethin 21, what the hell? Now, I know Globalsurfers is doomed, but, anyway; nobody's going bto crowd the 'great lkes' because of heavy metals comtamination, but even more nefarious, is a move by southern Californian and 'Lake' Republicans to divert already shrinking water sources to the desert southwest; tragically, like ecowarrior Ed Abbey noted, this area is the 'National Sacrifice Area' and that means water taken to supply development keeping this immoral country from sinking deeply! Vote green or lose it all!
