I'm in Ottawa this summer, stuck is probably more the word I would want to use. This means I will have lots of free time on the weekends to explore surfing opportunities around Ottawa. Anyone else here that could point me in the right direction? Or that would like to join me?? I'm always looking for people to surf with :) I will also be going up to Habitat in Montreal to surf a few times so if anyone is interested give me a shout!! Thanks guys :D

I'm also new to Ottawa and looking to find some surf around here.
Have you checked out the wave on the champlain bridge island? I was out there a couple days ago and saw quite a few Kyakers, but no boarders. Looks pretty fun, but I think the water's a little high.
As far as other spots, I'm not sure, seems like there's a lot of potential, but we may have to wait for the spring flow to pass.

I don't know the spots but it definitely is possible. Search ottawa river surfing on Youtube or Flickr and you'll find all kinds of stuff. I didn't know it was even possible until a few days ago.
I'm assuming one of the places is off the Champlain Bridge where the kayaks go.
