Hi Lauren,

I am heading to Costa Rica for 2 weeks in October and am considering buying a board (tired of renting).  Did you buy your board there? here? what do you recommend.  Also when I do pick up my board I'm going to start looking for some surf spots in Ontario as well.

Anyone selling a used board? I'm a beginner, I've surfed 9 or 10 times (NZ and Tofino, BC).

Toronto's not bad at all. we should probably not get into a pissing contest about if vancouvers better than toroonto cuz this topic is surfing ONTARIO.

the surf can be excellent here. you just have to be a little more knowledghable and knwo where to go. ther is SO much surf in ontario it's crazy! you just gotta remember that you need teh right board size. no shortboards unless yer really good and it's goin off. lake surf is so much fun and such a goodvibe in the waves.

i hope you all enjoy it here :) i do.
