I don't know about that one on one thing I've always been straight up.  But when I moved over from Maui to Oahu I really missed all of my friends.  All the Hookipa boys and Hana Guys.  The mentality on Oahu is a lot different than Maui.  On Maui it was step up or shut up over on Oahu there is a lot of shit talkin goin on.  And because of all the "tourists" the water is polluted with sun screen and it burns my eyes like chillie pepper oil.  They should just use a t-shirt, you don't see me bathing in a tub of sun screen.  And I don't get burnt at all, except for my eyes.

ah finally, someone who posts something logical on Hawaii.  You're right Cali has a whole shit load of surf like mavericks (the spot that's supposdly heavier than Waimea, yeah right, I'm 15 and I surf pinn balls, Mavericks might be heavy but not as knarly as Waimea).  Florida has Malibu.  Come on stay where you are and surf there my grandma is full hawaiian, so my grandparents earned my right to surf and live here.  If you don't think so you should build a dubble hull canoe and sail over a thousand miles with no compasses only the stars.

I'm a jock living in Wales which has some fantastic spots.. Yes they get busy and overcrowded, but "BUT NO WE DONT FERKIN COMPLAIN WHEN SOMEONE COMES TO SURF THAT CAN HANDLE THEMSELVES.. No disrespect, but if any of you came to the UK with attitude like you local idiots have, you would be taken down to Chinatown. What I'm trying to say is shut the feck up moaning, your always gonna have newy's wanting to come to your amazing Island and surf, just be happy with what you got and stop trying to be wanna be hard men.. Come to Scotland with your ferkin chests puffed out and you'll learn the true meaning of a hard man. Come with an open mind and you'll be welcomed like a local

Peace Scottish Surfer

Hawaii needs the tourists.  These tough guy surfers woulc be no different than people in Haiti or Jamaica if the military and the tourists left hawaii.  Its all juvenile nonsense.  Its not like there is a skilled workforce that would support the economy in the aloha state.  Not a lot of doctors lawyers or computer scientists among the tough guy surfer crowd.  Without the tourists they would be picking coconuts and turning tricks for anyone with five dollar bill.
