Havent surfed in a long time (no surfboard). Used to surf a bit in LA when I was there.
Was in Goa two weeks back. Excellent waves near vagator beach (north goa). There is a point break way inside that had the biggest sets. It looked like a tough paddle out though. There were waves closer to the shore too but seemed much slower. None of them were closeouts though. Bottom is a bit rocky. So I guess you gotta watch out for that.
There were waves near Baga beach too. They seem to be surfable in high tide.
Watch out for currents, pretty nasty in monsoon. Quiet a few swimmers and bathers drown there every year.

I'm checking all the forums about surfing in Goa 'cause I'm going in a few days, I used to surf in France (my country) and I would like to know where I can rent a board in Goa, I miss surfing so much 'cause I'm actually living in Ahmedabad for 1 year. So please if you can give me some advices, I have some friends with me who want to try also,
