The staff at Ombak indah get plenty of perks, above average Indo pay, 2 bonuses per year, maternity leave,(6months) no pay cuts if sick and their kids get looked after too. Accommodation and food.
Good to see you stand up for reality and freedom of choice mate, I get sick of the negative whinges from dickheads like him.

i stayed at family losmen for a few months this year and had a good time although i got bored of the wave out front after a few days.
Fat, often sectiony, closes out a lot, gets crowded, swell direction always wrong, trade not offshore..Over rated wave for sure.
However it is fun when its good but only got two or three tubes in a few months of surfing karang nyimbor/ ujung bocur.
Other waves are fun and hollow but still not world class, the best waves are more fikle than the wave out front.
The prices have gone up at all the camps this year too.
Get some wax and surf gear from nanang the ding repair guy out back of family losmen, if you stay there you get discounts. The food gets boring but i still like it..

why do posts go missing on this website?
Pay someone to watch your stuff it is a bit sketchy leaving it on the beach but in the hotels its safe.
South sumatra is shit by the way. its gets swell but most spots are fickle and only work a few times a month.
Way less quality than bali too.

Summing up Sth Sumatra ... fickle, swell nearly always wrong angle, attracts heaps of incompetant surfers (25 - 30 in the water every day, mission to get to ... not that cheap per wave compared to Ment's. Look elsewhere for quality waves and less crowd's. Only people smiling are losmen owners!!

:D There are definitely too many foreign investors. Instead of something nice to read about Krui, I only read trash!
eventually they get back exactly what they deserve. Andy's gone ... who's next? .. We should respect each other ....
You are all welcome to Krui ...

I have been here many times and stayed in a few different places. I think family losmen is the best value. This place is right at the end of the lineup so you dont miss any action.....they also have the best viewing platform with great views while you sip a cold beer at sunset. Great rooms, free wifi, tv and dvds. Some years waves are better than others and some days are awesome waves. Had my longest barrell ever here at ujung bocur.
