Well i live in Jax Beach and it is a pretty good place to surf considering Florida's waves. You just have to be patient with the surf. Sebastien inlet is also a really fun wave and can get really good.

Sebastian inlet is "the" best surf on the east coast, but beware of the locals.

sebastian inlet, great almost all the time. jaxonville is good when there are bigger swells, not to good most of the time. st augustine is amazing as well. but like i said you have to have a good swell, and check the surf report before heading out.

Jacksonville has the best waves around hurricane season, me and some friends caught nice waves last year for hurricane season, this year is still calm but its still early. Jacksonville usually just has average waves 2-4ft.

This may sound crazy, but the sandbar in front of the Holisay Inn in N Jax Beach (where the Clan hold meetings), can hold extreme north swells and wrap overhead for 100 yards; it's not dry, but better than Blowhole or north jetty peaks.

I've lived in Boca Raton for a few years and just got into surfing. You have to be ready to just pick up and go the second you see good breaks. Web cams are convenient and I recommend a long board. I don't know about the rest of the east coast of Florida but usually the end of low tide going into high tide with some good wind helps. However, the rip currents are usually pulling pretty hard. Gotta be a strong swimmer and really want it!

Longboat key gets some good surf in the winter. And Siesta Key, right infront of the snackbar gets some good swell too given the right conditions.

Hey RipsuriousRiffTom......Sarasota is on the west side of Florida. Not the east. Get with the program Spongetard.
