I have been here many times and stayed in a few different places. I think family losmen is the best value. This place is right at the end of the lineup so you dont miss any action.....they also have the best viewing platform with great views while you sip a cold beer at sunset. Great rooms, free wifi, tv and dvds. Some years waves are better than others and some days are awesome waves. Had my longest barrell ever here at ujung bocur.
you can book at www.familylosmen.com

There are NOT a lot of options outside of surf camps. You could most probably find something with a bit of time and a good grasp of Bahasa Indonesian (language). I have been to the area and would not just rock up to the Krui area and think you could just find a place to stay. There is NO tourist development in the area ... only the surf camps.
Ujung Bocur is a world class wave when the conditions are right but then you have to be capable of surfing 8' plus waves. There are other waves in the area that are better quality one only 15 min away Way Jambu.
