Well put! Been to newfy a couple of times surfing now and never had a bad time! NO CROWDS! Have seen what the internet and few idiots can do to surf destinations. N.S. is a prime example! Please stop with the pictures and the directions to surf breaks. Hopefully you guys in Newfy never get a Lance.

I was one of the first surfers in this area beginning around 1987. I know a lot about most of the local breaks although I now kitesurf rather than surf. I can be found at Coffee & Company on Water St. in st. John's if you have any questions regarding surfing.
I also represent a Canadian company called Ocean Rodeo, in Newfoundland through Freeride Mountain Sports, which makes some of the best drysuits in the world.
Nice to see that people are interested in our neck of the woods.

hey, im also lookin to get into surfing here in NL. my buddy and i are buildin our own boards in art school here in corner brook and will defintly be looking for some spots this summer. ive heard port aux basques has some decent surf. I also windsurf in bay d' espoir all summer long and am goin to be getting into kiteboarding this summer as well.

Everybody should go to Newfoundland to surf. they have lots of good breaks and beer in every store. doesn't get anybetter than that does it? Don't worry about the losers with the negative posts, they obviously have nothing better to do. guys relax a little, eh
