Truly hate that Nicaraguans have this problem. I actually thought of coming to visit your country but since you hate Americans I definitely have decided not to....Peace out!

People calm down.I can say one word for all and it is: globalisation .What you say is happening in everything. If there is something amazing the good word for it is spread really fast, because of the so easy means of information we have today.Amazing untouched nature, peace and harmony solitude, good condition for sport, that is all we want, but if you find that place and you are there with your 3 friends and each of them shares with somebody and shows pictures in few years that spot is crowded and with people comes a lot of destruction to once that peaceful spot of land. But this happens in climbing, in snowboarding, wind and kite surfing....etc.

It is the natural flow of our civilization to be virus, exploit to maximum. That is why instead of fighting with each other we have to gather against the big corporations that destroy this. And this is not me or you are all of you in that page, I am sure.Because we can all enjoy that spots,if we fight for a nationals or international institutions to supervise the natural wonders. For example in Europe is working ona NGO, which final mission is to put WAVES under the UNESCO nonmaterial wonders in the world. In that way the spots will e preserved or at least there will be some control. So please dont fight first , but look for a way what we can do against the capitalism.Coz in the end we all want the same thing. And it is different from what the capitalists want when they open their surfcastles.

Nicaraguans should learn their history. Americans invented modern surfing and brought it to Nic. This was a big mistake! I agree don't change the culture by teaching Nicos to surf, leaving boards for them and teaching localism. These people should remain as they were without surfboards! Also, they should not have cell phones, modern medicine, computers, the internet, electricity, lights, cars, egalitarian politics, air conditioning, refrigeration, airplanes, freeways, etc. ALL OF WHICH WAS INVENTED BY THE U.S.A.!!!!! Do not change the culture! I like to see things remain as they are. The world should not have a homogenous culture. Nicaraguans should reject all foreign intrusions and maintain their dignity, but they wont. Stay corrupt in your shithole country you little thieves!

I was born in the USA and love traveling to other countries surfing and getting to know the locals. From my experience when rich Westerners start buying up all the beach front property and turning the place into a over priced posh beach resort it hurts the local surfers because they are not aloud to surf their own breaks anymore without the consent of the owners and even then they will be charged for going to a beach that was once free in the first place. Unless you are considering SRI (Socially Responsible Investing) which most high dollar beach resorts are not....then more than likely you are doing nothing for the local economy.

I am an American and we need to stay out of other countries. We buy their land, inflate the prices surf camps $1500 a week where the average income there is $1200/ year. We make it harder for them and they end up working for Americans. It's a shame we do this all over. I lived in Hawaii in the early 70's and saw this happen. Look at Oahu now. I guess that's the American way, no wonder why were like and not liked. Thanks

Stop whining, without money from North America and Europe, the locals would have no job, and definitely not enough money to buy surfboards. You got to take the good with the bad.
