Description

A deceptively simple looking wave. When its big(cyclone swells to 20ft) it rivals sunset as a left, (very big crowds when small), fast steep takeoffs and thick lipped, grinding sand bottom barrels that will hold you pinned to the bottom and leave your al merrick in bits. Loves a NE - S swell, NW to SW winds, can be sheltered in a howling N wind and be offshore due to the high headland. Locals are very good surfers (closest high school to a beach in the world!and they do it for sport at school) and dont take kindly to dropins/kooks in the way, be smiling and friendly and stay out of the way. If you are any good you will be rewarded with hoots from the crowd on shore and other surfers, if not hmmm. Locals less narly than Narra or the 'bra but watch your step and take turns.
