Description

This is a long left pointbreak for advanced to expert surfers only. It's a hideous barrel from start to finish, breaking over about 200-300m along the southwest side of an extinct volcano on the far southwest of the island, with a couple of shallow/protuding rocks in the lineup just to add a little extra spice (if it needed any). Breaks close to the point all the way along, and can run a bit too fast, making some waves unmakeable-careful wave selection is required as there is not much room to straighten out here. Better at higher tides and a bigger than 5 foot swell to move the wave out a bit from the shallow rocks. Probably holds 12 feet, but it's a heavy, dangerous wave, you would definitely want to know what you are doing at this size. There is another left break even further around the point, but there are even more protuding rocks in the lineup, take a long, hard look before attempting it.
