You´ll find a whole lot of beaches with plenty breaks at Bahia Solano. For me it´s one of the best surf spots in South America, BUT I strongly recommend NOT to go there at the moment for it´s great risk of getting kidnapped (even more as a non-Colombian)! Bahia Solano is located in a so called "zona roja" of Colombia, areas with a maximum kidnapping risk! The hotels are completely empty! If you decide to travel there -never the less- try to be accompanied by a local.
A less dangerous alternative on the Colombian Pacific coast should be "Ladrilleros", an island about one hour from Buenaventura (not about as good as Bahia Solano though).
Let´s hope the situation in Colombia gets better in the future, so that anybody can enjoy all of the great surfspots, this country provides!
