very strong under currents. 2 or more people are known to drown on some of the unregulated beaches everyday in the summer. to many people and kids to get a good surf in. always someone in the way. 

Description

Its a good spot. you have to be a pretty strong paddler to surf it because of the currents. its also difficult to stay in one spot to wait for waves. lots of little kids and families with no concept of space. its like they dont even realize that a surfboard can hurt them if it hits them because its almost like they will follow you while you paddle just to stay in your way. in the evening when the tide comes up it is impossible to surf. the shorebreak is huge and only between 5 and 10 feet off shore. the waves break all at once at this time. no rolling barrel or break and the wave will punish you if you try to ride it. as soon as you stand up it collapses and washes you all the way back up to the shore so you have to battle the huge wave that breaks on the shore to get back out every time.
