Rocks to the right, strong undercurrent, old naked couples  

Description

Overall it is a very nice beach. No where near as crowded as Biarritz and you dont have to paddle out 300m as you do in Guethary. There is access for the public which leads you down the rocks, leaving the main access for the overlooking campsite(very nice indeed- great food). There are rocks situated at the righthand side which are very dangerous. Swimmers are located just to the left of the rocks which can be annoying in the summer as the surfers will have to walk alot further down the beach. The reason for this are the two sand banks. Between them is no surf (if you are not good then you may get stuck). The major concern when surfing on the left side (major hazard) are the nudists. They usually come in pairs and are old and orange. There is a suprisingly very strong undercurrent which makes it a very dangerous coastline. There are known to be waves breaking on the beach which make it a nightmare to get out. The main disadbvantage is that the waves break to close to shore. If you are good enough then this won't you right at the back.
