Description

World class left hand barreling point/reef break, holding huge sizes. This wave has some serious barrels, with a difficult sucky takeoff, and a long grinding inside shelf section. There are usually two peaks up to about 6 feet, but when bigger these peaks link up to create a longer ride-up to around 200m. The top peak is an experts only wave, from 6-12+ feet. This section doesn't line up right when small, but the second, lower section works from about 3-10+ feet, and is an overall an easier wave, but can still have serious barrels. The lip throws out very wide with serious power, and you just can't surf it on lower tides, try mid-high tide, and the lower peak first. It actually gets better when bigger, for real hellman over 8-10 feet-it ain't called the Sumatran pipeline for nothing!. Dangerous reef also.
