Description

Moneytrees is the second of the main takeoff zones at G-Land. On some days it links up with Kongs at the top of the point. It starts about level with a few big palm trees on the point. It's a big vertical wall which jacks quickly out of deep water, and grinds down the line with super fast speed and power, with numerous world-class barrel sections, up to lengths of over 400m down the point. Works from about 3 to 10 feet, probably best at 4-6 plus. At low tide it gets very critical, but at high tide is more approachable. Currents are stronger at low tide also. It usually doesn't link up with the next zone-called Launching Pads-which starts about 200m further down the point, and you may need to flick off. As you surf down the point at G-Land it gets progressively shallower. Intermediates to experts only.
