Description

Excellent right hand barrelling rivermouth break, with sand over rock. The creek mouth has eroded a gap in the rocks beneath the black sand, creating a clean, wedgy barrel, over about 80m. Breaks into a deep channel about 300m north of the end of the road turnoff. Mid to high tide only, breaks 3-8 feet plus, maybe even holding a solid 10 feet. Solid jacking drop into very powerful barrels that hold really well, it's really a class act, best at 6 feet plus. Crowded, and picks up heaps of swell, but watch the wind and tides, early morning best. Needs no wind of offshore west winds. Doesnt handle more than about 15 in the water, but there are other reef/beachreak waves just to the south, of a similar nature, but perhaps not the quality.
