destapa is the most consistent and fun wave in veracruz doesnt get the appearence of the sometimes barreling costalitos but is stronger and heavier, you can get barreled certain days but if not you have a nice wall, there are only waves after de north winds and sometimes with the southerns ones, good enough for being at gulf of mexico ,yes there is enough surfing waves in the mexican gulf
