calafia is just about k-38, or 38 kilometers south of the border. pretty badassed break, just killer long rights. goes off at all tides if there's a swell comming in from any direction between 270 and 340 degrees, northwest make this right fire. start out on a reef, if you make the inside connection you surf the wave 300m to a nice sand beach and have a open bay channel paddle back outside. it's a fairly tight little bay, easily paddled across so you can take lefts in on the south reef if that's firing. if a blended southern and northern swell is hitting, the place could close out but it usually doesn't, instead you get these killer diamond shaped peaks that give lefts or rights. chose you voodoo! garbage on cliffs from gringo and local slobs but water is pretty clean. water is freakin' cold though year around because of deep water effect.
