Description

Good spot for body boarders. Piha bar's first 20m barrels to fast to beat the short boarders. NORTH of the Lion Rock are two waves. Outside beautiful,short barelly left hander on 2-3ft (low tide) Long (75m) solid walls at 6ft (of swell)at high tide. A reform peak 1/2 an hour before high tide just next to the rock outcrop fires an insane left hand wall that is perfect speed for a sponge, you will only just make it (cool) then peels off for 50m and delivers you into the strong rip which takes you out the back again, ta very much. Watch ot for seals, small whales and dolphins and longboarders with helmets.
