Description

Is not a easy spot to pass to the outside when big. When arriving to the beach go to the left side usually better and bigger. The wave breaks in a open sandy beach with about 18 km long, there loads of spots but my favorite is "A Mata" when big ( 8`/10`)is great the waves break up to 100 meters outside, starts really powerfull with some barrels and long walls (left & right), then gets a bit soft just before the shore break, where you going to need big balls, to surf to do some great barrels, can be very agressive. There is loads of sandy banks making this wave very fun to surf, is like you have 3 waves in one, if you like big drops and speed the out side will be perfect to you, half way calms down for about 20/30 meters and then another sandy bank and fun starts again, with barrels and tall and thick lips, perfect to fly. The sandy banks provoces strong currents, keep looking to one of the bars on the beach that way you know you still in the right spot. In the winter can be a very issulated place, if you do not fill confindent with you surf and you alone, be carefull. Enjoy your surf.
