This spot only works when the swell is medium to small. It closes out on bigger days and becomes unsurfable and messed up. On good windless days it can throw epic stand up barrels your way. Be prepared to be dumped... In the corner at the caves it usually wedges and somedays the backwash from the rocks creates surrealistic diagonal waves that connect the oncoming swell at a 90 degree angle. This is a recipe for extra ordinary arial manoeuvres. The best waves are to had at the cave with the ocasional good set coming through at the beach. The caves become very crowded on week ends. Good spot to surf during working hours in the week. It is not very crowded then. This is also a beach frequented by beautiful ladies who choose to don their bikini tops, because of the secluded setting and protection from the reigning south easterly wind. Good BIRD watching from the higher rocks...
