The town offers many right hand point breaks varying in difficulty depending on conditions and swell type. A good knowledge of surf conditions of the east coast will help in determing which spot will be working or not. Generally as long as the wind has been blowing from the south and the swell is coming from the same direction then the waves will be prettty good. This wind also cleans the water, offering cristal clear visability. There are three really great right hand point breaks within one kilometer of eachother. The first is a break called Bog wich works well with bigger swell, so if nothing else is handleing the swell size, then chances are this is your best bet for long barreling right handers. The second is a spot called Surfers, which is usually more crowded but when its firing you will know all about it! The swell sucks up near the rocks on the right hand side and then throws with many a barrel to be had, but not an easy wave to master without spending time in the water. Thirdly is a wave called Sunrise, this spot when working is super challenging and for the brave as with decent swell you need to sit deep, right in front of the rocks and make sure you make the barrel if not to fall victim to the mussels! This wave is incredible and if you catch it on the right day, is a story your friends wont believe! All three spots break best when there is alot of sand which helps keep the waves running for longer. Tons of dolphins around owing to the name of the Dol[hin Coast. Respect the locals and be friendly in the water and an enjoyable day will be had! We all surf for the same stoke!
