Nice hollow wave. Should be a good rider because on average day waves break 10 yards off beach. On a heavy day waves break 30 to 40 yards off beach. The water is very shallow given the closeness to shore. The inner reef (beach to about 20 yards out) is soft and dull and on a swell coming from the south east is usually covered in clay from the dunes closer to Montauk Point. For the outer reef (20 to 50 yards out) to break it should be 4-6 feet. Trust me it sounds like a normal shore break but when u get there it is one of the best breaks on long island. Very short wave so be prepared to bail. Very hollow also. Hazards: Reef (sharp on the outer reef), rocks, rips, and in jelly fish season (late spring to july) the jelly fish, hyporthermia in the winter.
If you miss the restaraunt its in front of your never gonna find the break, because from far away it just looks like a normal shore break because of the angle of shoreline and you canonly see the horizon from the road.
Targeted visitors for a fixed low yearly fee. $135 per year puts your name and link here.
