Description

Ditch is a jetty break with mussel reef on the lee side and sand and rock bottom on the other. You can ride the channel out to the line-up at the verge of the drop-off. Take old Montauk highway towards the lighthouse, turn right at Ditch Plains Road and follow to the East Deck Motel parking lot. The break's at the end of the lot. You may have to park in the dirt lot a bit further down the road, to a break called Dirt, then paddle west to the Ditch break, as a permit is required to park in the Ditch lot.
