There is no significant tidal current, a slight rip right in the centre of the beach and at high tide on big swells an occasional rip at the North end alongside the rocks. 

Description

Come here during a huge swell and a Southerly wind as most other places will be too big or too messy. A good longboard wave although it usually lacks the extra speed and power to fire up a short board there are a couple of very slight sandbars which produce peeling righthanders and faster breaking lefts. Waves are usually biggest from high tide going out but due to the direction of the offshore currents, any ground swell tends to die as the tide comes in.
