Is it useless to go in Vanuatu in August, September or would there still be a few waves?

Just got back from surfing Vanuatu( April 8-20). Surfed everyday, by myself, from 1ft to 8ft, however that was on the southern island of Tanna. Saw waves on Efate (near Port Vila) but it may be too small in August/Sept. Tanna and thesouthern Islands cop heaps of swell all year round (similar to NZ or Australia) and while it may be small in August/Sept, locals told me there was big waves always on some beaches. Give it a go, explore, have fun and definitely take a board, especially if you're going to the southern islands. If you want more info on surfing Tanna, check Global Surfers search for Port Resolution, or contact me. Stefan
